Our Vision for Public Education

1.)    Public education must serve all students, regardless of race, class, gender, sexual orientation, disability, learning challenges, country of origin, native language or any other social category

2.)    Public education must ensure that every student has the right to attend a public school within their neighborhood boundaries

3.)    Public education must provide all the resources needed to develop well rounded, high performing students

4.)    Public education must prioritize the needs of all stakeholders (students, parents and staff)

5.)    Public education must see the surrounding  community as an active partner and resource to the school

6.)    Public education must model the respect we seek in broader society by respecting the work, voices, needs and rights of the workers who serve our children

7.)    Public education must ensure that taxpayer dollars are spent in an ethical, efficient and effective manner that ensures quality schools
